Well, the pilot episode is in the books for Train Aficionado Live. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time. This new show will air the first Monday of each month live on the Train Aficionado YouTube Channel. This new show will have three segments which will include a main topic, a forgotten railroad, and Rich’s and Jonathan’s Photo archives.
For nearly a year and a half, I’ve been co-hosting a weekly show called The Scanner Guys with my co-host Rich Carlson. The Scanner Guys show is all about police scanners and is sponsored by Scanner Master. Rich and I are both scanner experts and avid railfans. So I thought it would be fitting to have Rich as my main co-host.
Our Monday, October 5th show will be all about using a scanner while railfanning. A scanner is a valuable tool for every railfan. We will go over how it can help railfans and our top railfanning friendly scanners.
A special programming note from Wednesday, October 7th – Sunday, October 11th we are taking the show on the road railfanning in and around Altoona, Pennsylvania. My dad Kenneth Higgins and I will be hosting a live show on Youtube from The Tunnel Inn in Gallitzin, PA. We will also post videos and photos on the Train Aficionado Facebook and Instagram accounts as well. As we get closer to the weekend we will announce when the special live show will air on YouTube!
